The vehicle in the rear is an auto rickshaw. Commonly known as three-wheeler, tuk-tuk, auto, or trishaw, it can be found on all roads in Sri Lanka transporting people or freight. As of mid-2018, a new gasoline powered tuk-tuk typically costs around US$4,300, while a newly introduced Chinese electric model cost around US$5,900. The vast majority of fares are negotiated between the passenger and driver. There are 1.2 million tuktuks in Sri Lanka and most are on financial loans.
In Sri Lanka, tourists can rent tuktuks. Through the Automobile Association of Ceylon, tourists can get a temporary Recognition Permit which allows them to drive a tuktuk legally.

In 2009, a mass rally by a coalition of opposition parties took place in Georgia against the government of President Mikheil Saakashvili. Thousands of people demonstrated, mainly in the capital, Tbilisi, starting on 9 April 2009, demanding Saakashvili's resignation. On the first day of demonstrations, up to 40,000 demonstrators gathered in Tbilisi. Protests continued for over three months, although, as time passed, fewer and fewer people participated. On 26 May 2009, the Georgian Independence Day, 60,000 protesters took part. Although peaceful at first, there were incidents of fighting between the Georgian police and protesters. The daily rallies gradually dwindled and finally ended on 24 July without achieving any tangible results.

The medieval moated fortified stronghold of 1569 was turned into a hunting lodge between 1583 and 1589 by William of Rosenberg. It was designed in the style of the Roman country villa and named Kratochvíle. The architect was Baldassare Maggi from Arogno, Ticino (CH). The whole complex with an entrance wing, outline of fortifications, moat and drawbridge was built in the form of a slightly elongated rectangle, and the château was built on piles of marshy ground.
The small Chapel of Our Lady in the southwest corner of the château gardens was built between 1584 and 1589. The glory days of the château ended when Peter Vok of Rosenberg had to sell it to Emperor Rudolf II in 1601 because of debts. The emperor gave the château to the Eggenberg family and in 1719 it was acquired by the Schwarzenberg family. The international arrangement of the building to the layout of an Italian villa, with the open loggia on the ground floor being replaced here by a large vaulted entrance hall, which corresponded to the area of the Great Hall on the first floor, is linked to the ground floor by a staircase. On both floors rooms of varying sizes are liked to these chambers.
On the ground floor they were partly of a functional nature and on the first floor they included the private apartments of the lord and lady, and the most grandiose room of the château, the Great Gold Hall where visitors were received and which is richly decorated, as are most of the other rooms, with stucco reliefs and murals based on classical mythology by Antonio Melana. During extensive restoration experts discovered five paintings depicting scenes from the life of Samson, in the adjoining Small Gold Hall.
In the 19th century the château was converted into apartments for the Schwarzenberg family and in 1950 the restoration work was carried out. Kratochvíle houses an exhibition of Czech puppet and animated films with original works by notable Czech producers Jiří Trnka, Hermína Týrlová and Karel Zeman.

Located in the fortress of Vysehard, St. Martin Rotunda is the oldest rotunda in the city of Prague and the only structure from the time of Vratislav I that is still intact. The building dates back to the 11th century, the interior was altered in the 19th century by architect A. Baum. The Rotunda of St. Martin is also the oldest surviving building in Prague.

Mercator at Ostend-Belgium
The barquentine Mercator was built as a training ship for the Belgian merchant fleet. She was named after Gerardus Mercator (1512–1594), a Belgian cartographer. She was designed by G.L. Watson & Co. and built in Leith, Scotland and launched in 1932.
Besides being a training a ship, she was also used, mainly before World War II, for scientific observations, or as ambassador for Belgium on world fairs and in sailing events.
In 1961, she became a floating museum, first in Antwerp and, from 1964, in the marina of Ostend, just in front of the city hall. As of 2019, she remains open to visitors.

These few pictures may be my last for a while as I am starting radiotherapy treatment tomorrow. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer earlier this year and have been on hormone therapy injections for nine months. I advise all older men to get a blood test done which I had done purely by chance and found it to show a higher level of PSA than it should.Better safe than sorry !

Just to the south of the A82 and at the east end of the village of Ballachulish are the fascinating and, it must be said, starkly attractive remains of the Ballachulish slate quarries, which employed up to 300 men at any given time for over two and a half centuries until 1955.
