Not Just a Pretty Face!!!
This gorgeous fox kit was seen and photographed in eastern Newfoundland in early July...if you like drop a comment...After speculating about its species ID I received some input that it could be what's referred to as a Cross...essentially a red fox that has black pigments in its fur and skin ( I think ) . My first time seeing one of these...Other things I've read indicate that the condition happens when a red and a silver fox mate...Like much of the information found on the internet its a toss up to know what's accurate....its a handsome looking little fox either way, I think you'll agree! This one was enjoying the morning sun light playing amongst the rocks of the shoreline

The BIG GULP.....
St Vincent's Beach in early July, he south east coast of Newfoundland....Humpbacks and other whale species are here. following the run of Capelin...a small fish that are also showing up about then too, the Capelin are here to spawn, the whales are here to feast on Capelin...they migrate from the south ( Caribbean included ) to feast on these little fish. No co-incidence, the whales show up ever year at the same time as the Capelin...you can see some of the little fish escaping the closing jaws of this Humpback.

Now What Do I do?
This gorgeous Atlantic Puffin takes a break from collecting nesting materials and decides what to do next? We visited a known nesting site near Elliston, on the Bonavista Peninsula in eastern Newfoundland in early July and we discovered a small group of these little creatures that had ventured off of their nesting island and were seemingly gathering nesting materials on the mainland. I couldn't believe my good luck to have some of them within easy reach of a 100-400 mm ( plus a 1.4 Extender ) . I photographed a few , I didn't spend too much time with them as the rain was falling gently and I had captured a few decent images. Atlantic Puffins are the CUTEST little cartoon birds that I could ever imagine!

The jury is still out on this one...I've relocated to St John's in Canada's Atlantic Province of Newfoundland...in early July we made it up to the Bonavista Peninsula to see Atlantic Puffins and we happened across a few Fox kits that were not that old , they were entertaining themselves playing amongst the rocks...I managed a few photos and just now have I been able to edit and look at them well...I'm reading about Melanistic Fox that are basically a dark morphed Red fox ? I'm not exactly sure...I haven't been able to find conclusive information yet about what I have photographed. If you can shed some light on my ID dilemma please feel free to contact me...in the meantime...enjoy the images of these wonderful looking siblings!!

I was very uneasy walking along the towpath at early sunrise because of the worry of disturbing the owners being fast asleep.

Located near Kato Deftera village, 11km southwest of Nicosia, the church ‘Our Lady of the Golden Cave’ is believed to date back to the early Christian period, and the shape of this small church inside a cave is very rare in Cyprus.
Sadly, the decorated walls of the cave have suffered great damage and the frescoes are no longer visible, but a large religious festival is held on August 15, the day of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary.

A field a couple of minutes walk from me had its harvest started.
This is in North East Hampshire.
I have watch other fields in the distance being done over the last couple of days,but they are not easily accessed, so on hearing the noise start up near me i grab the camera and walked to the field.
I have plenty of results with the combine a lot clearer but i liked this one being engulfed in the dust.

Cardinal Flower for Breakfast
If I'm in place and ready to go around 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. any morning, I'm just about guaranteed to catch a hummingbird at breakfast. I planted three Cardinal Flowers in a wet area by the pond this year and they're a hit with the hummers. They do grow tall and tend to flop, so staking or dense planting is needed. Full disclosure - I used Lightroom's Denoise and Photoshop AI to clean up the flower a bit, remove the stake and touch up the background. The bird has only basic post-processing.

Zrmanja Vrelo is a small place under the Poštak mountain itself, more precisely under a steep, almost vertical rock called Misije. It is located in the municipality of Gračac.
The missions are about 200 meters high, and at the foot of them are several sources of the Zrmanja Zrmanja river. Potočići meet in front of the Prezid dam. The dam was built back in the time of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1924) in order to regulate the flow in order to prevent torrents from carrying material downstream, which was a big problem in that area. The floods washed away the surrounding soil and flooded the surrounding fields. At the same time when the Prezid dam was built and the Zrmanja stream was regulated by embankments and the coast was walled with stone. The hot spring of Zrmanja had its golden age. during the Austro-Hungarian period, when there was a military station there. In addition to the municipality and school, the town had a post office, a shop, an inn, and an inn, all of which were run by the local landowner, wholesaler and postman Pavle Šulentić.

Zrmanja is a river in southern Lika and northern Dalmatia, Croatia. It is 69 km (43 mi) long and its basin covers an area of 907 km2 (350 sq mi).
It was known to the ancient Romans as Tedanius. The spring of Zrmanja is located in southern part of Lika under Postak - the southern peak of Pljesevica mountain, and close to south end of Velebit mountain. It is characteristic for its spring located on the bottom of very steep, almost 200 m high funnel shape rock called Misije. It flows southward through the narrow and long arable valley which encircles the southern end of Velebit through a 200-metre-deep canyon, and then turns westwards, reaches Obrovac, and after a few kilometers flows into the Adriatic Sea in the bay named Novigradsko more. Its main tributary is right bank Krupa river, rich in tufa and travertine rock sediments forming around its numerous waterfalls.
In the 1990s the Velebit area was declared a nature park. Rafting trips on Zrmanja take place in spring and autumn, while kayaks and canoes are used during low water level period of July and August.
The river was hit by an ecological disaster in December 2019
when waste from a former alumina plant was washed into the karst underground. Alkaline mud has been kept in open pools since the closure of the plant.

CUADERNO DE APRENDIZAJE:
He realizado la edición en Camera RAW, posteriormente he pasado la imagen a Photoshop CC como objeto inteligente.
Con la acción del maestro Mellado he realizado un enfoque según textura.
No he utilizado ni los filtros de Nik Collection, ni el panel de Tony Kuyper.
He tenido que subir el ISO para aumentar la velocidad, también podía haber abierto más la abertura de 5.6 a 4 ó 2.8, a costa de perder un poco de profundidad de campo.
