"Dornoch Cathedral’s first service was held in 1239 and it continues today as a parish church. Originally Roman Catholic rites were observed but since the Reformation it has been part of the Church of Scotland. The Cathedral has many interesting features, not least the gargoyles on the exterior.
The Cathedral is open every day and visitors are welcome. From mid June to mid September volunteers are on hand to welcome visitors and tell them about the Cathedral, Monday to Friday from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm.
The cathedral is only open for church services – Sunday at 11am – when visitors are welcome!"

SH47 Something Floating A surprise
I was out looking for Bees but that’s not what caught my attention l. I had had a partial sighting of this before but didn’t see any markings. Quite clear here and identified as a grass snake unless you know better?
I have to say I was a bit spooked as I kept pressing the shutter and this was coming towards me! Not sure my hands were quite steady with the camera . I’m not a snake lover!

The Royal Pump Rooms
After a very hot week and little sleep, Thursday was a little cooler and we went to the Royal Pump Rooms. Was nice to sit in an air conditioned car for the journey. Photos achieved anyway. The young piano player there was too shy for a photo so had to take one without ( last image) . Shooting through the pillars and beyond.

The Royal Pump Rooms is a cultural centre on the Parade in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England. It was the most famous of several spa baths opened in Leamington between the late-18th and mid-19th centuries. People would travel from throughout the country, and indeed Europe, to benefit from treatments using the town's healing waters. When 'taking the waters' became less fashionable after the mid-19th century the Pump Rooms became Leamington's only surviving spa facility, later also being extended to include the town's public swimming pool. After a major redevelopment in 1997-99 the building now houses Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum, a public library, a Tourist Information Centre, cafe and assembly rooms. It is a Grade II listed building.[1]

The lion (Panthera leo)
The lion (Panthera leo) is a large cat of the genus Panthera native to Africa and India. It has a muscular, deep-chested body, short, rounded head, round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It is sexually dimorphic; adult male lions are larger than females and have a prominent mane. It is a social species, forming groups called prides. A lion's pride consists of a few adult males, related females, and cubs. Groups of female lions usually hunt together, preying mostly on large ungulates. The lion is an apex and keystone predator; although some lions scavenge when opportunities occur and have been known to hunt humans, the species typically does not.
The lion inhabits grasslands, savannas and shrublands. It is usually more diurnal than other wild cats, but when persecuted, it adapts to being active at night and at twilight. During the Neolithic period, the lion ranged throughout Africa, Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, and Western and South Asia, but it has been reduced to fragmented populations in sub-Saharan Africa and one population in western India. It has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996 because populations in African countries have declined by about 43% since the early 1990s. Lion populations are untenable outside designated protected areas. Although the cause of the decline is not fully understood, habitat loss and conflicts with humans are the greatest causes for concern.
One of the most widely recognised animal symbols in human culture, the lion has been extensively depicted in sculptures and paintings, on national flags, and in contemporary films and literature. Lions have been kept in menageries since the time of the Roman Empire and have been a key species sought for exhibition in zoological gardens across the world since the late 18th century. Cultural depictions of lions were prominent in Ancient Egypt, and depictions have occurred in virtually all ancient and medieval cultures in the lion's historic and current range.

Capturing moments through my lens is what I Love. I am Jubair Bin Iqbal, a professional photographer from Bangladesh.
Since 2010, I started my journey with Photography. That was my hobby which I dedicatedly turned into a profession. Through my journey, I worked with many IGOs, INGOs, NGOs and many other well-known organizations. In 2012, I organized a solo exhibition with Bangladesh National Women Lawyers' Association (BNWLA). My photographs are exhibited in several national and international exhibitions.
I have received more than 100 international awards and my work has been featured in over 100 major international publications including: National Geographic, Vogue, Time, Sunday Times, Newsweek, Geo, Stern, Der Spiegel, The Fader, Brand Ein, The Guardian, Marie Claire, Colors, The Economist, The New Internationalist, Kontinente, Amnesty Journal, Courier International, PDN, Die Zeit, Days Japan, Hello, and Sunday Telegraph of London.
I performed as a Jury member in several photo contests such as, the "Photo Festival" organized by Photography Club Of Rouf College (PCRC) in 2017, the "Photo Contest" organized by HSTU Photography Club in 2019 and many more. I was also the vice- president of UIU Photography Club (UIUPC).
During the Covid- 19 pandemic of 2019 I started working for “World Health Organization”. I still continue my assigned tasks on this pandemic dedicatedly. In 2021, I joined “Y Magazine” as Photography- In- Charge.
By passion, I am a photographer. By profession, I am a photographer. I love to explore and expose the beauty of the World through Photography.

Rarely Clicked
Pseudopodoces is somewhat similar in appearance to the unrelated ground jays (Podoces) but much smaller – about the size of a house sparrow (Passer domesticus) – and lacks any conspicuous markings. More strongly however, it resembles a wheatear (Oenanthe) in habitus, but lacks black feathers and has a strong and slightly downcurved bill resembling that of a chough (Pyrrhocorax) in shape (though not in colour). Its soft, lax body plumage is extremely cryptic in its natural habitat. The underside is a greyish-fawn in colour, with a tawny hue. The upper parts are mostly a darker fawn-brown, with the central rectrices and the primary remiges a little darker still; the head is colored like the underside, with a darker cap and light nape patch, somewhat reminiscent of some tits and chickadees, especially those from the genera Parus sensu stricto and Periparus. The bill, legs and feet are black. Males and females look alike.
The voice is described as a plaintive whistling, cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep and it also has a two syllable finch-like call
